ChannelAssist Growth Accelerates as HP Expands Blue Carpet Incentive Program for Partners, both in Canada and in the United States.

In April 2012, HP expanded the successful Blue Carpet program with a roll out across the U.S. as reported on the VAR Guy and in an HP Press Release. For HP Canada, ChannelAssist has powered the HP Blue Carpet program since 2006 and has delivered 100,000 education modules, and processed more than 500,000 reward claims.

In expanding into the U.S. with Blue Carpet, HP's goal was to unify its Sales Promotion Incentive Fund (SPIF) program – rewards for partner sales reps – across the entirety of the enormous HP product line. HP’s new Blue Carpet program, part of HP’s PartnerONE partner program, will reward partner reps not just for selling HP technology, but also for upselling, cross-selling and attaching, said HP’s Rose Genovese, national channel program manager.

“We are evolving the current SPIF platform,” Genovese said. “We wanted to bring all sales tools, offers [and] trainings to one spot that was easy to navigate.”

Beyond incentives and benefits, HP Blue Carpet, provides online access to sales training; an intuitive dashboard to track earnings, redemptions and claim history; and access to a site that makes it easy for partners to redeem awards for items such as VISA gift cards and HP products.

"Blue Carpet is designed to provide rewards for selling across the entire portfolio," said Mike Parrottino, vice president and general manager, U.S. Channel Sales and Marketing, Personal Systems Group at HP.

Now, well into its second year in the U.S., the HP Blue Carpet program continues to gain momentum as partners become increasingly engaged and enabled.
